Food Security
STRENGTHENING SUDAN'S FOOD SUPPLY
By processing peanuts locally and producing a range of food products — from peanut butter to cooking oil — Salco contributes directly to Sudan's food security. Every product we make is one that would otherwise need to be imported or left unprocessed.
Our animal feed by-products also support Sudan's livestock sector, reducing dependence on imported feed ingredients and strengthening the broader agricultural economy.
Local Farmers
SUPPORTING GEDAREF'S FARMING COMMUNITIES
Salco purchases directly from farmers in Gedaref State — providing a reliable, fair-price market for their groundnut crop. This direct relationship removes intermediaries, ensures farmers receive a greater share of the value, and gives them the confidence to invest in their land and their families.
We are committed to building long-term relationships with the farming communities that supply us — because their success is the foundation of ours.
Women & Youth
CREATING OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

A VISION FOR NUTRITION
Our long-term ambition is to produce locally made peanut-based therapeutic and supplementary nutrition foods — helping to address malnutrition among vulnerable children across Africa.
Peanuts are among the most nutritionally dense and cost-effective ingredients for therapeutic food production. Salco's processing capability and local sourcing position us to play a meaningful role in this space — as our capacity and quality standards develop.
